The article reports that by mid-21st century, 1 in 6 people will be of age 65 or older. MSNBC.com goes on to explain that this will be a problem for nations around the world. Here, in the U.S. it says "Medicare is projected to become insolvent by 2017..."
I think we all know that Social Security is on its way out as well. Elders can no longer expect to retire on Social Security alone. This would be my parents' generation. My generation will not see a single dollar from Social Security.
This is not news, guys! Recent polls indicate that 98% of the U.S. population looses sleep over health (#1) and money (close #2) problems. That's exactly the problems that the article mentions these retirees will have to face!
